Passato remoto I don't know much about Italian grammar. Probably there is no proper Danish term for ”passato remoto”, a tense that does not exist in the Danish language. I would use the italian term (passato remoto). I have never seen either “historisk datid” or “historisk fortid”, but as I said Italian grammar is not my speciality. Here is a link to a Danish http://johsthomsen.wordpress.com/2010/05/02/om-brugen-af-fortiderne-pa-italiensk/
text, where it is just called ”passato remoto”. See also conjugation table here essere where the italian grammatical terms are preserved.
Do not put any hyphen in tredje person ental. --Olelog (diskussion) 25. okt 2014, 16:22 (UTC)
- passato remoto just means past historic tense. There are several translations in other languages, such as French passé simple. I don't know if it really is a good idea. Maybe we should say "tredje person ental past historic af, since "past historic" could be understood by many more Danes than the Italian term can. Would you think this is a good idea for this entry? It may be that passato remoto would actually be a good idea though because of there being sources of Danes using "passato remoto" in quotation marks online. - Using an English term in Danish for an Italian grammatical phenomenon??? That is pure nonsense, you must be joking, just forget it! --Olelog (diskussion) 25. okt 2014, 19:21 (UTC)
