Welcome to the danish wiktionary! Kinamand 10. apr 2007 kl. 08:41 (UTC)
- Thank you, Kinamand. I don't speak Danish, but when i thought of that minor edit that i had to do it was better to be registered so you take that more seriously. :-) If in the future need help with albanian, just shout! Zeke 10. apr 2007 kl. 15:54 (UTC)
Hi Kinamand, you are not wrong about Qeni as a name but it's was grammatically wrong. It's the genitive case that makes the name 'qeni' change while used. Here's the difference between qen and qeni.Qen = Dog, Qeni = The dog. What you saw on the page are examples. Qeni leh means the dog barks, yelps etc... You did the same with Kali, its Kalë. What you are doing is referring to like saying: the dog, the horse...like
- shtëpi - shtëpia (house - the house)
- derë - dera (door - the door)
- dorë - dora (hand - the hand)
- këmbë - këmba (foot - the foot)
Plus it all depends if you are referring to a female or male, singular or plural name!
- So, while conjugating the name 'qen' it will look like: Qeni, Qenin, Qenit etc...Zeke 11. apr 2007 kl. 05:24 (UTC)
Do you really mean genitive case? In danish genitive (and indefinite singular) case would be like: a dog's food - en hunds mad but when you say the dog barks - hunden gør it is definite singular case (not genitive because the dog don't own the barks). Kinamand 11. apr 2007 kl. 07:21 (UTC)
- Barking, yelping and all that has nothing to do with what the issue in here is, but you asked me what was that so i told you what the example was.
Whereas the genitive case ex. a dog's food in albanian ushqimi i qenit. You see it's not 'qen' neither 'qeni' anymore but if you are talking about the dog's food then it's 'i qenit'. Go back to read the last sentence of my last post in here ... (qen, qeni, qenin, qenit) :-) Zeke 11. apr 2007 kl. 07:34 (UTC)
- Which case is qenin? (I hope that I dont ask too much :-) ) Kinamand 11. apr 2007 kl. 08:21 (UTC)
- I am trying to help you as much as i can even though i am not a professional linguist. Here you go:
- Rasa Emërore - Nominative Case - qen, qeni
- Rasa Gjinore - Genitive Case - i qenit, e qenit
- Rasa Dhanore - Dative Case - qeni, qenit
- Rasa Kallëzore - Accusative Case - qeni, qenin
- Rasa Rrjedhore - Ablative Case - (prej-from) qeni, qenit
Hope you find it useful Zeke 11. apr 2007 kl. 08:53 (UTC)
